Klowra Pedals, in collaboration with Hotone, has just launched the Mantra, a beautifully designed dual expression pedal that allows you to externally control two parameters at the same time – whether that is on two different pedals, or digital amps, MIDI controllers, or anything else that accepts expression pedals.
Where to Buy the Mantra
The Mantra features two separate ¼” TRS output jacks that can each be plugged into separate devices, allowing you to control each expression parameter simultaneously.
The pedal comes with one ¼” TRS cable, which is a nice addition. But if you need a second one, these are the TRS cables I’ve been using.
Each of the TRS output jacks on the Mantra has its own Direction (-/+) switch that allows you to reverse the polarity of that specific jack, granting you more control over the expression control.
- (+) Mode: Toe-down increases the value.
- (-) Mode: Toe-down decreases the value.
Despite being so feature-packed, the Mantra is relatively small and won’t take up a ton of space on your pedalboard.
Where to Buy the Mantra
The Mantra is housed in a rugged, metal enclosure that features an extremely cool, originally hand-drawn silk screen artwork on the top of the expression treadle. The treadle is also topped with a coarse, sandpaper-like material (like skateboard griptape) for added grip when using the pedal.
Lastly, the Mantra is a passive pedal, meaning it doesn’t need any power to be used.

The Klowra team was kind enough to send a Mantra to me to check out, and I have been really enjoying integrating it into my pedalboard. The expression curve is very smooth, and having the ability to control the expression inputs on two different pedals on my board has been really fun!
